Ryanair has opened its first aircraft heavy maintenance facility in Ireland with an investment of €10 million going into the Shannon Airport site. The three-bay 5,220sq m facility, which is leased from Shannon Group, will support the maintenance of Ryanair’s fleet as it expands to 600 aircraft by 2026.
Storage Systems Limited was awarded a large contract to fitout this new maintenance facility. This installation comprises of Dexion P90 Pallet Racking 5m high with 4 beam levels decked with mesh panels for standard pallets. 100 bays of Dexion HI280 small parts shelving and longspan shelving for spare parts along with mesh partitioning. All shelving is 2500mm high and complete with steel back and side panels throughout.
The installation was completed with outdoor cantilever racking 6000mm high x 7400mm long with 3 cantilever arms 1800mm long and 1 base level.
